While at La Rew, I made lifelong friends, including Claudia Walton, with whom I wrote many songs, mostly romantic ones. After graduation, we formed a business called Sterling Song Service, which made demos for struggling songwriters. Incredible as it may seem, in addition to writing the lyrics, I was the business brains of the outfit, while Bunny Bishop
sang and Claudia played piano. Here’s a favorite: Sugar Coated Kisses
