With my puppy, Boots, on my ninth birthday. My father gave me a huge cake box and when I opened it I saw a puppy inside and thought it was a stuffed animal!
Mr. Cohn, grandma’s second husband, was very loving and bounced me on his knee. When he kissed me, his big moustache was wet and smelled of coffee, which I didn’t like at all! After he passed away, my grandma let me sleep in her bed, under her big, fluffy, down comforter.
