Forty years ago Sonny traveled to Hawaii on business. He discouraged me from joining him, even though I wanted to see that tropical paradise for the first time. While he was gone I became very unhappy, and by the time he returned I let him know that I was very hurt. To make amends, in his usual generous way, he arranged to have orchids and other Hawaiian flowers sent to me every month. I’ve been receiving a huge box of Hawaiian flowers EVERY month for forty years! I’m almost ready to forgive him.
