After graduating high school, Rose became engaged and Birdene began working as a secretary. Etta married Charles Shelburn, and they had one daughter, Shirley. Hyman fell ill from too much alcohol and passed away.
Then, just as she was planning her wedding, Rose
developed tuberculosis. With the engagement Above over, Fannie, Rose and Abe moved to Denver,
Fannie and Hyman’s wedding license.

FANNIE GETS MARRIED AGAIN!
Fannie settled in Denver and, with her outgoing and warm personality, made many new friends, including Abraham Cohn, a wealthy widower who fell in love with Fannie. They were wed in Denver on January 3, 1920.
Rose was doing well and things were fine when, suddenly, Mr. Cohn decided he wanted to Go West. In 1921, Mr. and Mrs. Cohn and Abe traveled to California, rented a house in Ocean Park and bought three adjoining lots nearby. The property was two blocks from the beach, at the corner of Third Street and Strand Avenue.
Mr. Cohn developed all three lots: He designed and built a home for the family on the corner; a four-unit apartment building on Third Street
